John Levitt has spent more than 35 years building alternative investment businesses as well as managing investments in convertible arbitrage, merger arbitrage, and fixed-income strategies for institutional investors and proprietary capital accounts. Mr. Levitt was most recently the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Managing Director of UBP Asset Management (a division of Union Bancaire Privée), acting as liaison between the investment and business practices. Before joining UBP, he was a Principal of Gregoire Capital LLC where he directed product and business development, as well as co-managed the firm’s proprietary funds. Prior to Gregoire, he was the founder of The Harvest Fund Group LLC, a global convertible arbitrage fund. Earlier, he was Vice-President and Manager of convertible securities trading at Spear, Leeds & Kellogg (now a division of Goldman Sachs), as well as holding positions at Smith Barney and Mabon Nugent.
Mr. Levitt is the author of “Skewness, Kurtosis & Omega: Risk Mitigation Benefits of Ultra-Diversified Hedge Fund Portfolios” (2002), “F3® Portfolios: Structuring Methodologies and Statistical Properties”, (2003), a contributing author to “Managing Hedge Fund Risk” (Risk Books, June 2005), and was the fixed-income strategies columnist for FertileMind.net. He received his Baccalaureate degree from The Johns Hopkins University, a Master’s degree from the University of Chicago, and holds the designation of Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.

Christopher Rowan has over 15 years of experience in sales and marketing. His principal strengths include; strategic planning, new business development, conceptualizing opportunities, process improvement, forecasting, and product launches.
He is the inventor of the Consistency of Purpose (COP) strategic planning methodology that has a patent pending and the founder of Arscientia. He invented the methodology while responsible for strategic marketing at Cymer, a supplier to the semiconductor equipment industry and the number one IPO of 1996 with a market share today of ~ 90%. At Cymer, Mr. Rowan was responsible for strategic planning, creation of revenue forecasts, and development of the Technology Analysis and Forecasting (TAF) roadmap process. As an account General Manager, he increased sales at SVGL from $300K to $11M.

Marita Wein is a partner at Alternative Investment Group, responsible for risk management at all levels of the investment process focusing primarily on operational/infrastructure risk at the investment manager level, portfolio level, and within the Alternative Investment Group organization. She joined the firm in February, 2003.
Prior to joining Alternative Investment Group, Marita was the Senior Vice President of Operations, Technology and Risk Management at Commonfund, a $35 billion investment management organization serving endowments, foundations, and other non-profit institutions. She was with Commonfund for 17 years.
Before Commonfund, Marita was a Senior Financial Analyst with Van Eck Associates for two years, providing financial analysis and portfolio recommendations for a global equity fund for U.S. and international institutional investors. She began her career as an Operations Manager with Shearson Lehman Brothers managing administrative and operations functions of a retail branch office in New York City from 1983-1985.
Marita holds a Bachelor degree from Connecticut College, where she graduated in 1983 with a B.A. in economics, summa cum laude, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
